Never seen such a smooth field. The front of the 1931 has very low definition in the hair, etc.

Not sure what to make of this.

Both whizzed, the 38 is done "better" than the 31, and would probably be passable to a good number of people. Great example of what whizzing looks like.

Nice visible striations on the '31. If the '38 is whizzed, it would have fooled me from this pic.

Agree, not clear to me that the '38-D has been whizzed.

Pretty much in agreement. The '31 looks treated, the '38--not so sure. Would love to see the coins in-hand.

the 31 definitely has been cleaned/whizzed. the 38 looks good but there are blurry areas that could be from cleaning or the photos. if you want a better assessment of the 38 repost by itself
