I'm pretty sure I see MD on LIBERTY, but the photos are a little hard to decipher.

Machine Doubling is affecting all the devices on the left side of the devices. On the motto as well, but you have to consider the same direction of on the coin, with the device curving. It will affect them the same, but all different as the angle changes for the curve. We call this "classic Machine Doubling".

Note on this coin you can see the images moved closer together showing the same push across the surface of the coin.
Other times you can see different directions happen. Not the same each strike. The machine causes this.
