Hello everyone, going through a friends collection for him and came across this. Any idea as to if it is a genuine blank planchet? Also any idea as to value? Thanks in advance

It's a blank planchet, but would need a weight to confirm if it's a canadian cent

Sounds right for a 1920-1979 penny; most likely from the '70's would be my guess
