1961 d , the lighting off the camera makes it seem like the edges have nickel coating but that's not the case and seems to have a d/d

Guessing this is just environmental damage - perhaps the coin was buried at some point.

Only your last photo looks chocolate brown . Have to agree with above , just environment issue with that coin .

Well the cool thing is about these is, it takes a long time to melt it in your mouth. The bad thing is all the germs on the coin. (Don't try this at home)
