I have a 1909 Indian Head penny with som kind of scaring on it. Would this possibly be a mint error?

@caj, the two flattened areas on the U of UNITED and the start of the date both look like damage to me rather than mint errors.

Aye, post strike damage. We see this frequently with a variety of coins posted on this forum. Sadly, not a minting error.

To CCF , PMD , to bad it didn't have an S mint mark on reverse . It would of had a little value even in Details condition .
