Not the Three Cent Nickels You're probably right, just trying to stand up for the little forgotten nickel that never seems to fit in. I'll have to go with the Shield nickel as the best then, at least as far as 5CN go. With all of the repunched dates and striking issues the mint had, I think that's a really fun series to get into.

I'm with Jbuck! I picked the Shield nickel just for all the neat varieties they can have. The 3CN would be 1st actually if they were on the list. I like Longacre designs of the federal shield designs the best. Some of the 5 cent patterns are really neat as well.

I picked the "Buffalo" nickel as my favorite. And I say it's ok to say "Buffalo" instead of "Bison". The "Mercury" dime isn't a depiction of Mercury either. Just saying.
