I have seen hardened grease look similar on a coin so thats just what I was comparing it to.
In some areas there are little tiny pits that are rough with no grease/substance, so if I picked off some of the grease/substance (i dont plan to) I'm fairly certain there will be a rough surface with a minor indentation similar to what you find on a strike through.
As for the reverse on the bottom thats just my phones reflection
