If these are 1884, then all the leaves and dates are the same. The only "large leaves, large dates" are 1891. The term for the band on the monarch's crown is "diadem", not diaderm. You had used that term before and I never knew what you were talking about, because the only thing you showed were 50-100X magnifications of some small coin portion.
Yes, there is some doubling that I had noticed on other '84's, but it's really not anything that a collector is looking for and no added value. Since you say that you can see it on both sides. I'd say MD, not hub doubling or repunching. There is no lacquer on a circulated coin unless an owner sprayed some on the coin to make it look pretty.

Phil310 thank you yes the only crack started on my coin is attached to the G of regina. its only about a quarter of and inch long. take a close look at her eye.

okiecoiner yes that is on a 1882 H . I just like the way it is made good and solid. okiecoiner I am really starting to get into the nuts and bolts of rob writing. so for now you guys have a great one . please keep up the good work.

Rocky; Somehow I really don't think, as you say above, that you have the nuts and bolts of the items that you post on here. You should not only read Rob's books, but you should go through the archives on here to get you feet on the ground concerning Vicky Large Cents.
