Hello guys quick question, I haven't weight this penny yet will be buying scale today but I was wondering if and only if it weights 3.1 does any one know what tjia penny would be worth?

You forgot the last bracket. Please rotate the coin to horizontal. That is the way we are used to seeing coins. With the devices horizontal. Can you imagine goin to a police line up and they had the suspects all laying on the floor. Makes it a lot harder to I'd the right person that way. But it is a small date. But is probably a not a copper planchet. 2.5 grams is the weight for a zinc cent. They are worth one cent.

We need to see full images to see if there are areas where plating has worn through, evidence of plating over zinc dust, split plating. I can place a copper cent in one hand and a zinc cent in another and tell, which one is heavier. Dropping them on a table also will tell you if the are copper planchets or zinc. (small drop, not like 6 feet above the table, as that could damage a coin)

And yes, a scale is the best way to remove all doubt from trying to figure out the weight,

That's a great police lineup visual. Ok #3 roll to your right side. I was in a lineup once. Just to fill in spot cause I sorta resembled the guy.

Update on this cent it was.....NOT 3.11 so he got arrested after line up for false impersonation lol!
