2005 Canadian Cent No Mintmark - Coin Community Forum

Jim0815 Pillar of the Community United States 5240 Posts	Posted 05/04/2021 7:23 pm Not knowing a terrible lot about Canadian coinage I found this 2005 Canadian cent while roll hunting. It is non magnetic and weighs 2.7 grams. My question is about the no mintmark. Is this normal for this particular coin not to have a mintmark? Canadian friends, insight please! mcshilling Pillar of the Community Canada 9457 Posts	Posted 05/04/2021 7:28 pm The 2005 comes with a P and without. But the P is not a mint mark it just means it is steel plated. So you have one that is zinc - non magnetic and one that is magnetic. Report this Post to the Staff
