Not sure it there is a mule but I have not heard of one currently. JohnWayne007 Pillar of the Community Canada 1186 Posts	Posted 04/30/2021 12:24 pm If you manage to find a non-magnetic 2008 cent it probably would be fairly rare because it would be considered a mule. Not exactly sure why they dident make a magnetic and non-magnetic version for 2008. From 2002 to 2007 the mint struck magnetic and non magnetic versions, they skipped 2008 and only minted magnetic versions, then in 2009 to 2012 they once again struck both magnetic and non magnetic versions so I can see where one may get confused. JohnWayne007 Pillar of the Community Canada 1186 Posts	Posted 04/30/2021 2:28 pm I was assuming that the OP was referring to circulation strikes while roll hunting, and not proof strikes. mice45 is correct that 2008 proof sets have a non-magnetic penny, 2008 circulation pennies do not.
