I'm 99% sure I found a 1947 Henning nickel, it weighs 5.11 grams. Any information on what the value of this might be?

Hi John, I did look on here but there's a lot more about the 1944, not so much the 1947. From what I found my coin has a lot of the markings, such as the dot in the upper left field, no mint mark, and it weighs over the 5 grams. The only picture I found of another one looks very similar.

Average weight of regular nickel is around 5 grams. Average weight of henning nickel is 5.40 grams. Way too light to be a henning

Did you note on the "Henning" Nickels that they are a weaker strike? Yours is a strong strike. Not a "Henning". Sad part of this is that the counterfeit ones are worth more than than the normal ones.

The tolerance on a nickel is .19g so at 5.11, yours is well
within the acceptable tolerance for a regular nickel.
