Found some interesting coins over the last few weeks. One being a 1979 steel penny (I used a magnet and it stuck). And the other is a 1995 D that is doubled only in "In God We Trust". Unfortunately I couldn't get any good pics of IN GOD but the doubling was not as strong as WE TRUST. Also I couldn't see any doubling in the date, mint mark or in liberty. Not sure what to make of it so I thought I'd post a few pictures to see what people thought of it.

Okay...your 1979 cent is plated in something magnetic. It's just a normal coin that's been damaged by plating.

And so...the good news.

Your 1995D cent is a rare and valuable doubled die. I cannot see what grade it's in from your images, but it appears to be at least AU. In that grade, the coin is worth a cool $100-$150. There are only a few dozen of these known, they are FAR less common that the far better known 1995P doubled die.

That's one HECK of a find there guy.

Chalk up another very rare case of someone strolling in saying they have doubling, and instead of seeing the usual Machine Doubling, it really is a rare doubled die!

the 1979 looks like it has been plated.

I think you've got something there with the 1995-D,

compare yours to the one in this link:
