Possible Error On This 1978 Quarter?

EbRaynewbie New Member United States 17 Posts	Posted 05/11/2021 12:31 am 1978 quarter with some type of mark in the T in LIBERTY I'm new to this coin business just curious as to if I found an error? There is also something on the back rim of the same quarter almost in the same area opposite sides. Any ideas? Report this Post to the Staff

Numiscrat Valued Member United States 221 Posts	Posted 05/11/2021 01:04 am I think the mark by the T is where part of the rim was nearly shaved off and pushed back in towards the middle of the coin. The damage on the reverse matches where the coin got caught/shoved/pinched into something. Would not be a mint error. Report this Post to the Staff
