When I see a post that says "doubling on almost everything," my first thought is always "almost certainly not." Most doubled dies involve either distended hubs or a rotated/pivoted hubbing, all of which produce by far the most evident doubling at the perimeter of the coin and in certain sectors of the perimeter in the case of a pivoted hub. The only type of doubling that would typically affect "basically everything" would be a class IV offset hub doubling (impossible on single squeeze dies like the ones made in 2009) or else a major class I doubled die (also impossible on single squeeze dies).

From your original photos, I see a lot of glare, perhaps with sharp, close photos you can address this glare issue as well. Please tell us specifically where you see doubling, and with closeups, show us those areas.

This is a link to Google photos. It's a folder of images of this coin. I'm having a difficulty with the uploads. If this post is not forum material. Please let me know. I'll remove it asap.

On the 100+ 2009 DDR's on coppercoins, they are all pretty much on the same area. On the center of the designs. That is where to look, nothing else matters. If you stray from that area, your searching for Machine Doubling, damage to a coin, damage to the die showing chips and cracks.

CoopHome: On the 2009 cents, where do I look for doubled dies on this series?
