I don't see it, but is it even possible?

That coin does not exhibit two different mintmarks. It's a normal 1985D with damage and/or gas bubbles.

It is possible to have both mintmarks on one coin, that's what an OMM is...but this one doesn't have it, nor is there any 1985 cent known to have both.

I would say that a 1985 D/S is not possible since the S mint dies starting that year had the mintmark as part of the master hub while the D mintmarks were still punched into the working dies by hand. The damage that he is calling an S mintmark on that coin is completely in the wrong place for a 1985 S cent die, and being in the hub it would be as strong and clear as the date numerals.

I took a look at several of his other "rare unlisted errors" and none of them are errors. Some MDD, some Die Deterioration, and a lot of wishful thinking.

Now that I think of it, I agree with Conder101 on this. It isn't possible. It would have been possible in 1984, because the S was not added to the master die for proofs until 1985.

The fact that this is the second coin he has sold tells it all........ especially with a feedback rating of "9".
