1954 Proof Penny Doubled Die Obverse / DDO ?

BJackson 86 New Member United States 7 Posts	Posted 05/16/2021 8:50 pm I bought a 1954 proof set and found this penny in it. It looks like some doubling on the date, liberty, and In God We Trust. But I can say between B end R from Liberty it is a planchet crack. Small but it is. Seem the coin was struck from the begin of the planchet because those small crack are characteristic. The black part of the coin in front of the head at East seem to be from metal purge impurities. This need better test and analyze. Report this Post to the Staff
