This just came all the way from the USA, and it wasn't too expensive. Including international postage I paid $87. There looks to be hardly any wear to the coin really and it's quite lustrous.
A few questions, is it authentic? Weight is 27 grams exactly, also what is the line? A die crack? Also does it look to be Mint State?

I must add that the photos make it appear quite dull, in actuality it is very lustrous. When I hold a pencil perpendicular, you can see maybe 2 inches down the pencil in the reflection on both sides too.

Thanks for any replies!

Based on my review of your pictures the coin is most likely genuine. I have virtually no doubt of that. The strike is fairly well centered and the only weakness in the strike is seen at the perimeter. Like other 1890s issues struck on steam driven presses the coin has nice fields generally and the die designs appear to be complete. On the cap side at the 2 o'clock position in the rays are small scratches that I would believe are associated with the removal of encrustations. Other smaller scratches were also noted on the side with the eagle.

The coin is environmentally damaged based on apparent corrosion on the edge and both surfaces near the edge. The coin is NOT MS. IF the TPG's adhere to their own standards it would be body bagged not graded.

I was sending in a few coins so I sent this in also, as I was curious to see if they really did grade it details. I guess it is 'bodybagged' now.
