How Can I Tell The Difference Between An Error Coin And A Counterfeit/Fake Coin?

Wrekkdd Pillar of the Community Canada 3328 Posts	Posted 05/23/2021 12:06 pm I recently came across one of the fake toonies where the bears food has a split in it, the coin isn't made with the same metal as a normal toonie so they sound alot different when you drop of flick it. Today I found a toonie that does not have the slit in the front right paw, but sounds nothing like a normal toonie. How do I tell if this new toonie is an error or a fake?
