1960 D cent. I think the obverse has a broken post on the 9 and the reverse has a funny little line on the "T" in "CENT" that I am calling a IDB. Am I right? I know they are small, but what do you think? I get excited whenever I find even small finds while coin roll hunting. Thanks
I think that might be a RPM-008 late stage with the die chip in the first 9 of the date. I could be wrong. Was looking at that all night on another 1960 D I pulled from a roll.
On your coin there is no evidence of a RPM. If you are trying to use markers first to match to a variety, that is not the way it is done. There were many of the 1960's cents with the broken '9' that are not a RPM. Markers only apply if the variety is there first. Then a marker will help confirm a die state that the marker appears on. Variety first, then markers. Never backwards.
