Just gonna vent about this here. I had ordered 10 Dansco albums from them on May 13th. On their website it said most orders shipped in 1-2 business days, after a week with no shipment noticed I called and asked about it. Apparently, of the 10 albums I ordered, 5 of them they didn't even have in stock, even though their website said it did. Their rep was flippant and basically told me to just wait until they got them and that if their site said they had them, and they didn't, and it was that big a deal to me, I could cancel, so I did! But I did have them ship the ones they did have in stock. So after receiving them today, I'm VERY annoyed. They are implied to be new albums, however almost all of them I received were poor reseals, and to make matters worse, one of the released albums I got had ZERO SLIDES in it. They earn an absolute 0 out of 10 from me. Deceptive marketing, poor communicated and customer service. Never ordering from them again. Oh, and they never even provided me a tracking number. Great business

@grape, I am sorry for the bad order.
My experience was the exact opposite of yours, but I ended up calling before I placed the order as I don't believe they are too technically savvy. In my case my album was in stock, the person I ended up talking to told her whole life story, her political believes and also flirted with me. So completely different experiences.

Grape, are you going to send back the stuff you got for a refund? John1

@John, after inspecting them, the resealed albums LOOK to be in all but new condition, so I'll keep those, however, the one missing all slides is completely unacceptable and so that one will be going back.

But, were you charged for the ones they didn't have in stock? They only charge your card when they actually ship what you ordered, everything else would have been put on back order and no charges. Ans be sure it's actually a girl that's hitting on you - EDIT - In business since 1931 with no complaints of online/phone line shenanigans. I still think this forum is about learning - not for trying to destroy others coin businesses.

Quote: They only charge your card when they actually ship what you ordered, everything else would have been put on back order and no charges If that is the case, that still would not excuse the misleading listing, them selling stuff they don't have, or sending albums without slides. Quote: I still think this forum is about learning - not for trying to destroy others coin businesses. In order to destroy a business I'd have to be important, which I'm sure you'd love nothing more than to point out I'm not. I consider this a learning experience, as I've learned not to buy from them again. What YOU or anyone else chooses to do with this information in regards to any possible business with them is, at the end of the day, up to that person.

Quote: If that is the case, Well IS it the case? Then the rest would be on you , not the vendor. Please stop passing the buck. IF you ever get your coin shop business going as you cant work for a certain person forever, do you want a little termite keep cutting down your business on line? Send me a PM, we can talk business, the DO's and the Dont's.

You don't own a coin shop, you don't know jack about anything related to the industry, the last thing I want to hear is some nobody talking crap. You call me a termite? You're the one who sits there and gnaws at my ankles in every single thread.

Good gracious Grape, I think you need to step back.
I'm on neither side, but both of you should watch how you treat others on this forum, even if you don't like them. And Cameron, please, I think we could do without the insults. While it was wrong for Rothery to refer to you as a termite, your reaction is very unsavory.
Both you and Rothery have a point. On one hand, reporting bad business with dealers is fair, as it allows the community to be weary, and not get "ripped off," if you will. However the idea that having a business being ruined by such comments (while unlikely), is also fair in its own right.
Both of you need to just ignore one another. Conflict and the use of insults is unacceptable on this family forum.

Ethan, I appreciate it, but all he does is come into my threads and try to mock me. I'm not gonna let anyone disrespect me like that. Might work with some people, not with me. I get what you're saying, and by extension his point, but I couldn't care less what he says. I've said this place needs a block button before.
I want to stay on this forum, j like educating, and contributing, but if this is how it's gonna be, I'd rather not. I'm not gonna pull a David and throw a dramatic exit for attention, but if this guy is gonna be a constant pain in my rear and either I don't have a way to mute him, or staff won't ban one of us, I'm done I think.
Is it silly to quit over 1 person? Yeah sure. But who am I to say. I'm just a termite right?

Ah I see. I didn't understand the circumstances. I get where you are coming from, I don't let other people push me around either.
Hm, it would truly be a pity to see you leave. You've been an extremely valuable member on here, and you are one of the reasons I stay. I agree with you, there should be a mute or block button on this site.
I'm honestly not sure what to do. It's fully up to you, but if you do leave, then I'm sorry to see you go. And I'm sorry you have suffered belittlement. And to answer your rhetorical question, while the answer is obvious, no you are not just a termite.
Don't let one person ruin your experience on here. If necessary, this issue could be taken up with staff, to either implement a feature that allows blocking, or to issue out warnings to the individuals that feel the need to trivialize your posts.

If it was me, all of it would go back along with a well written note just to make a point to them for how they run their business. John1

Or unless they were the only dealer in town, I would just not go back to them and buy anything off them again.
I am not sure about USA, but where I live there are just not enough dealers and sellers for one to pick a war with whenever they make mistakes. We have to be happy with what we have.
At the same time, the supplier should take reasonable care with orders and be upfront if they can supply any or all part of an order. If they make a mistake and it is their fault they should accept it with grace and not give a paying customer an attitude. Then again I also know some of you all want things yesterday and done to perfection - we all need to give and take.
I also don't think airing your greivances about it on a board is wise as it could lead to the company losing a lot of legitimate business and they have not stated their side of the story yet.
There are two sides to every story and somewhere inbetween sits the truth.
