Hmm, none of the three 'accepted' attributors lists a 1932-D DD obverse yet ANACS appears to have found one. Even labeled it 'die 1' inferring there is more than one type.

Anyone else heard of this DD?

There was a master die doubling issue that year. So all the cents has the same doubling from all mints.

Maybe the master die doubling was incorrectly listed as a doubled die before it was found to be what it is. This does appear to be an old ANACS slab.

Also ANACS' "Die 1" just means DDO-001, doesn't mean there is more than one. For example if you look at ANACS pop reports, 1915-D DDO-001 is labeled "DBL DIE OBV DIE 1" even though there is only 1 DDO for the date.

Also listing a coin with it that way, if another example turns up later, it is making clear from that point forward.

This coin has been going around on ebay for quite a while now. There is no DDO-001 for that year, but it caught my attention as it is slabbed as such. Possibly unique slab. I'd buy it for maybe $30 just because of the slab, but they want far too much for a coin that doesn't exist.

Did you see the carbon spots on the reverse?
