The 6 in 65 almost looks like a 5 I think it's just a poor little beaten up 6

Nice find these days with the Alloy Recovery Program.
It is a 1965, the 1955 had the Laureate Portrait of the Queen.

Nice find, definitely a damaged 6, if it was a 1955 it would have George on the front, not Elizabeth.

1952 was the last year for George VI coinage. Elizabeth II coinage started in 1953.

Nice find...always a thrill to find a silver coin in circulation! Your current value is $1.87 for this coin with silver currently at $33.56 per ounce in Canadian Dollars...my last Silver find was a 1953 dime at McDonalds...

It's hard to find pre 1967 Canadian coins so when I got this one I was like sweet, silver. The dimes and Penny's are a lot easier to come across pre 1967 but iv never actually looked into my Pennies and nickels. But now I check all the change that comes my way. Some times at work I just cycle quarters and stuff through the vending machines. Get alot of set coins from them I'm trying to find the special Olympics error coin with curling. But iv yet to come across a single one even the normal version
