I'm hoping to get some grade opinions on the 1883 V nickel. I've had it for many years and don't remember many details from when I acquired it.

That is a very nice one year type coin. They are not very difficult to find in high grade. Looks like it is probably AU58 to me but grading from images is difficult for me.

There we go! I'll say MS-62, possibly 63.
Rest in Peace

I'm at MS-65 . Strong strike ; Hair and corn cornels are superb . The only thing holding this coin at 65 is no full mint luster. That tiny hit on left side of V is not even worth mentioning . If the way this coin was stored that toned this coin down as to lessen the luster then I'm pushing the grade to MS-66+ .

i agree with T-Bop that you have nicely struck coin. based on the photos at least MS65 but the fields look like they are a little marked up. the lighting is not allowing for an accurate assessment. if what appears to small marks across the fields it could drop as low as MS63. if the fields are clean then it could go as high as MS66

Too many little dings and nicks for MS65 IMO. I say MS63.
