For some years I've been buying Italian states coins here and there. That's what I've got so far. Some are in very rough shape, but all are identifiable.

Papal States - 1/2 Baiocco - 1703-1718 - Clement XI - Seems to be a rare variety, since I haven't found any coin such as this one with the lettering "CLEMENS" in this position.

Very nice collection!
I have a "sampietrino" (2 1/2 baiocchi) from Ancona with the same design as yours from Civitavecchia.

And I am impressed you were able to ID that Modena sesino!

On the Clement 1/2 baiocco, which Papal States issued this denomination? I know Ferrara was one, and according to CNI, there were no issues with legend CLEMENS XI on this denomination. Were there other states? I can check CNI and see if there were spelling variants like yours.

@giovanni, I am confirming that your 1/2 Baiocco is from the Papal State of Gubbio https://en.numista.com/catalogue/pieces27634.html

According to CNI, this type can have CLEMENS XI as an alternate spelling between 6:00 and 12:00 for years XI, XIV, XVI or 1710-1715.

Thanks! That's very nice to know! That Sesino was a real challenge, I spent many hours on that one...
