I have a 1947 penny which looks to have a chunk of copper on the obverse so I didn't know if it was rare or not and how much it's worth, or even if it's considered an error at all.

. Looks like a minor lamination, little if any premium.

I would call this one a struck through debris issue. The reason? Usually lamination issues get rolled out longer in a straight direction. On this one it is not longer and thinner, but just like I would expect to see as a flatten spread out direction on this coin. The weight should be a slight bit more than normal. (On a circulated coin, just being normal weight is slightly higher because metal wears off the coin in circulation) If looks like it fell on the fields of the die, instead of falling into the void of the die.

Lamination on a steel cent?
I'd call it Machine Doubling also showing on the bottom of the 4 and 3 on date....

Edited:
In this case view the coin and Not the title, we are looking at a 43 not a 47

Title and description read 1947, that's all we can go by. Photos do not always show true color.

No question of delamination. An MD or debris strike must be confirm. The date is perfect.

I am confused, where is the lamination or struck thru debris?
The areas circled show a minor MD and the pic is from a 1943 Cent not a 1967 as title indicates

The circled areas look like channeling/retooling.
