I may need to...
I fully understand how you guys can think it's not..
But being the person with the coin in hand I see different..
Sucks if I do send off bc coin probably is worth less than cost to get it authenticated..
Also polish and Die marks match on lds

Let's all take a step back. While this coin is not the DDO-001, fighting the OP about it isn't going to help anyone.

Some people can simply not be convinced. RCarv, believe what you want, but do not complain when people disagree with you. If you do not like the responses you've received, then just leave the topic.

And to everyone else, yes people that refuse the truth can be annoying, however it's best to be the better person and just walk away. No use arguing with someone who's already made up their mind.

you're right, silvercents. I should have learnt my lesson about arguing after being kicked out of 8 other forums. Sorry, Rcarv.

I agree, 100% not 1DO-001. Doubling just isn't there.

Also, looking at the arrows you added, the "die marks" you see as a match aren't even die markers. They just appear to be random stains or contact marks on the plate coin. CopperCoins lists some of the more noticeable die markers on the left hand side of the page, which in this case are the numerous die scratches on both sides, and you can clearly see in your photos that your coin has none of these.

Note the 11:00 area on the '9'. That is what you see to see to be a 1971 DDO-001.

Talk about Deja-vu - I thought I read this series of posting a few days ago, now its back with todays date. I thought I was going a wee bit crazy. Or entered some kind of a time warp.. But I'm ok now that I had to go back to the beginning and re-read it all over again.

Uploaded another pic..
Look I can show you die mark after die mark.. now that I learned it's a LDS I can show you polish mark after polish mark that all match..
I'm fully aware no matter how much I show you, guys will not accept it.. I'm cool with that..
I also know I have made over 130 post and alot I've accepted defeat.. not this one bc I know for a fact it is a LDS and has50 years of circulation wear.. I'm also aware if I where to grade it, this would be Maybe a $40 coin.. ontop of that this post or any other I made about this coin was not to start any arguments.. I just refuse to admit I'm wrong when I know I'm not. Yes the confusion is probably alot my fault due to being a new guy and also a bad picture taker.. but that doesn't change the fact that this is the coin
