I would like to think a 64 is realistic but I am not sure about the amount of hits. What do you think?

Although I'm not a Jefferson 5-cent piece guy, I'd say the clean fields should give this coin a great shot at 64. MS63 would seem a lock.

I would say that it could go either way MS64 or MS63.
First impression it made is a very neat desirable nickel with great natural toning.
Then I look a little closer and two nicks are noticeable one above and one below the temple and a small one on the collar. On the reverse I see a few barely noticable light nicks and about 4 and 1/4 to 4 and 1/2 steps.
This is a medium strike. There appears to be a planchet flaw, maybe a small lamination between the mint mark and UNUM in the field.
The coin photography has become so good that I sometimes think we are a bit spoiled.
It is easy to be critical of coins because we see them better on the net than in the olden days when we actually had to bend over a bourse table and hold the coin and a glass under a light to see even less.
I think it should get a MS64.
The current value I would guess raw is about 12.00 to 14.00 <(edited I thought it was an S mm when I looked up values)

PCGS says ...
MS/PR-62 No wear. Slightly less marks/hairlines, strike may not be full
MS/PR-63 Moderate number/size marks/hairlines, strike may not be full
MS/PR-64 Few marks/hairlines or a couple of severe ones, strike should be average or above
MS/PR-65 Minor marks/hairlines though none in focal areas, above average strike

Oh, and thank you for posting this pretty nickel!

Thank you for the comments guys. I am stuck between 63 and 64 it is a fairly weak strike. I just double checked the coin and I see no planchet lam. issue. Oh and Wheezydog you are very welcome, that is a nice compliment.

I used my ctrl button and wheel up to magnify it even more.
Maybe it is a pc of dust or paper there that I saw.
The illusion makes it look like a tiny pin prick hole or teeny crater.
So if it is a foreign thing and not on the coin, that's good.
I still think it would make MS64.

Looks like a 64 to me. Nice toning and excellent picture.
