Washington Quarter 1969-S Proof Error ?

BigSky Ken1963 New Member United States 2 Posts	Posted 06/05/2021 4:27 pm Hi Everyone, I just picked up a 1969 Proof 5 coin set and just found what I believe to be an S/S RPM DDO. I'm not really into error coins though many are pretty cool. It would be great if the good folks here would have a look and see what you think. DD on IGWT and the S is kinda funky. Greasy Fingers Pillar of the Community United States 7030 Posts	Posted 06/05/2021 10:49 pm Mint mark looks like that because the pouch that made it had a chip in it (inside bottom curve)...normal for 69 and on all denominations. Proof coins are struck twice by the die, so you might have a slight Machine Doubling which also shows at the bottom of the mint mark. Also not seeing any photos of the motto, but most likely MD...IMO to CCF good luck on future finds, have fun and keep asking when needed... Report this Post to the Staff
