1968 Lincoln Cent PMD Or Strike Through?

My2cent Valued Member United States 484 Posts	Posted 06/12/2021 12:40 am I was just curious about the obverse of this coin considering the reverse is in such good shape. On the edges in a few spots I can see metal that has been displaced so that's PMD but the rest of it doesn't seem to have that. I don't have the trained eyes for that stuff so I'm just going to ask instead of guessing. Report this Post to the Staff

The obverse has suffered simple damage, maybe environmental damage. It is weird how the reverse could be so clean but the obverse is horrid. I have found many just like this before. Most likely direct pressure against concrete to give it the appearance of a strike thru. The rim is a dead giveaway,this did not happen at the mint. Report this Post to the Staff
