Hi, what form of doubling do we have on this 2001 LMC? The date, MM, chin and ear also have the same form of doubling. The reverse of the coin shows what looks like a die break between the legend and the rim starting from T of States to M of America. Your inputs please. Thanks
junjie

Machine Doubling is the cause for what you are seeing.

Thanks BJ Neff. Here's the picture of that die crack/break on the reverse? Also, of the chin and ear - Machine Doubling too?

That's a case of split plating. Not a die crack.

Thanks coppercoins. That's a new one I've learned today - split plating.
