So the first picture circles the sloping effect towards the collar just curious what it is?

Or a counting machine shaved off that area from the coin. It didn't happen when the coin was struck. Otherwise it would have looked like the other millions that come from that die pair. Just like a knife is sharpen with wear on the blade area, this happened on your dime.
