Ive come across this in my travels , I bought it as .999 silver 1 oz but nowhere does it say that.The obverse is really quite nice.
I thought somebody here would know for sure what its made of , thanks

Have you examined the rim yet? Some art medal manufacturers have the finess details and other info on the edge.

Sure did , it has a reeded edge just like a coin.I bought these other two and just like you say the .999 hallmark is on the edge with those.Not so with the Chicago medal.

Yeah , I liked it "The Windy City" , I was hoping due to its nature somebody would recoqnise it and be able to identify the material its made of

It seems your coin was designed by Virginia Janssen and minted by the Hoffman Mint of California. I've seen mention of bronze coins minted, but not silver. Contact the mint. Maybe they could help. Ask about how many were minted.

Thank you for those links Mikep , I dont see a mention of silver anywhere.The contact us link goes straight to an order form.Not seeing silver mentioned is a concern,got me wondering now.

I Think that if its silver,it would be marked as such!!Im not saying its not,but,I havent seen a silver medal that wasnt marked
