DirtFisher3030 New Member United States 8 Posts	Posted 06/16/2021 08:01 am Found this where an old parsonage was in the early 1800s and right along the main street of the town which was established in 1788. It isn't magnetic, weighs 24.2g, 41.1mm diameter, and 2.1mm thick. It rang up like a large cent so guessing it's copper. You can see some detail on the one side of an outline around the outer part of it like the cartwheel does. I know counterfeit cartwheels were a big thing and with the bubbling on the one side I was thinking it is a possibility Any thoughts? Thanks in advance Report this Post to the Staff

If the sides had worn down to the extent needed to obliterate the rim then the perimeter would be more rounded. I agree with Seeker55 - it's not a coin. Report this Post to the Staff
