American Numismatic Society - The ANS's Greatest Coins series examines coins in the American Numismatic Society's collection, carefully selected for their historical fame.

The King of American Coins. The United States Silver Dollar of 1804. There are rarer coins, but there are none that challenge the fame, tradition, and glory given to the 1804 silver dollar. In 1941 B. Max Mehl called it "The King of American Coins," and it still commands that numismatic throne.

Timely as I was watching this video yesterday. I started off on ANS four part video on digitizing their library.

Parts 3 & 4 I found really interesting. I'll post those in a new post in the book section.

There a quite a few goodies worth watching at the ANS YouTube channel, I also really enjoyed the St. Patrick of Newbury talks from the past COAC in 2006. Videos were just uploaded last year in seven parts, not in a playlist unfortunately, so one needs to sort them out through view all videos.
