1965 Quarter Wonder Did Die Hit & Coin Got Stuck And Hit Again ?

relentlessseeds New Member United States 5 Posts	Posted 06/19/2021 03:22 am so I just know but I think and may be best I dont but still I think this coin may have gotten stuck after being struck then hit again ! I think what iam seeing here is where the eagle grasps ( not sure honestly what it is ) with its claws thhat when coin was stuck then rehit this is what iam seeing here turned upwards into eagles wings as this stuff is raised and it seems that the marks some may call scratches are to me as I counted out and visualize that they are in fact the eagles claws ! I ask am I correct or in need of better readers and a mind less imagietive ? Report this Post to the Staff

PMD The area shows displaced metal and scrape marks which wouldn't have happened during the strike. When posting images of coins, it's always best to include full images of both sides of the coin, cropped and oriented correctly, and one or two closeup images of the anomaly.
