The new quarter was a welcomed site when I found the first one in my change. Brought me back to the design I grew up with. Good eye on noticing the placement of the date. And thanks to Yokozuna for his post with it being the correct location with his image.
The obverse is commonly refered to as a bust image of George Washington. Which is an art form interpretation of Washington image. It shows the top of his head through a stopping point at his neck in order to capture the image of our first president.
In your description you referred to the neck area as the ""BEHEADING" LINE". A beheading refers to intentioal decapitating of a persons head as a means of murder or execution. George Washington suffered no such fate.
I think your choice of the term "BEHEADING LINE" as a reference point as a poor choice of words, intentionally unjust, per the use of all capital letters, and unnecessary.
Sorry to sound so critical, but I found it as incorrect and a bit offensive.
