I picked this raw at my local coin shop today.
I do not believe it to be cleaned , looks like a normal AU Morgan and to me looks about AU-55 . In hand coin is quite lovely and looks semi prooflike , reverse more so than obverse .
I paid 200 after negotiating some and I figured that was a fair price.
I need to work on my lighting set up. Brighter pics are next to a big window and the more reflective pics are with the blinds closed and the light on.
Anyways curious if you can take anything from my photos

I'll say AU53, but no comment on surface originality, looks like it may have taken an old dip.

@Jason, thanks, thought that might be the case, if so, I'm at AU53, close to AU55, but I think there's just too much disruption in the fields to warrant any higher.

yeah she has some marks , I was thinking 55 but could see 53. The fields are pretty reflective so every mark stands out . I am going to send her in with the next group submission so I will get back when I get her back with the grade. Group submissions at PCGS have been slow so I assume mid fall haha

Keep us posted! I always seem to be up/down a grade on Morgan's.

AU55 but I think it would be slabbed at AU53 due to all the surface scuffs/abrasions/scratches. the first and third photos make the coin appear to have an old cleaning. details designation imo is possible.

pretty sure that is the photo lighting. They where taken in a bright picture window with outside light so makes it look off but shows the detail well of the coin

AU-55 but appears to have been over dipped, luster has no life left in it.
