which year of the coin?

at this zoom also an MS70 proof will show something.

Check first Variety-Vista.

I know to show the whole coin figured you guys didn't need it I mean it look like Machine Doubling to me too. I don't see what the year or anything has to do with the ear

The md at the date tells the story. The ear is machine doubled.

If the Machine Doubling affects the devices in a certain direction, then it when the ear is showing the same thing (in the same direction), it would be a post strike issue of alteration by Machine Doubling. Nothing is doubled, but flatten post strike.
