This topic comes up now and then but I thought I'd get an update. Do you guys still recommend Hugh Wood over getting a rider on existing homeowner policies? If so, why? Also, note, I looked at a few previous topics and some links to Hugh Wood's website appear to be bad—I got a page that said it looked like the address was not legit (used different language but that's the gist). Which made me nervous about calling them when I googled the name and found a page for them.

What's the latest on this company, or do you have others you recommend?

Thanks in advance.

Pick up the telephone and make some calls.
Shop around !
We do insurance appraisals for clients all the
time . Most stick with their own home insurer .
A rider on their existing home policies.

Thanks. I did put a call in to my homeowner's insurance and yes, they recommend an appraisal. I may have a few questions about that as well—I'll start another topic if/when I clarify in my own mind what I need to know.
