Would like a hand on deciphering this coin. The 5 and 9 are flat, but dont look worn.... I could be very much wrong that it isn't worn. Also its almost closed off on the 9 loop.
The way that the dies are punched, all digits and letters are tapered so that the parts furtherest from the fields are narrower than the bottom. As a coin wears, the letters and numbers get fatter and fatter and start resembling yours. The coin also may have a small "dish" to it that caused the 9 to wear off more rapidly. It wasn't struck like that
