Hi All. Puzzling over this. Flattening on obverse and reverse. Semi circular but on opposite sides of coin on each side. Channel visible on reverse indent left side.

Just seems impossible. Coin would have to flip and struck again for this to happen. I am thinking stuck in coin counting machine?

Coin wrapping damage on date.

Thank you for your opinions.

Don't think it is from a coin counting machine but definitely damage of some sort.
Whatever it was had enough force to bend the coin.

Thanks for your opinions JimmyD and john1. I don't have experience in coin destruction and so it's hard for me to imagine, and then it bugs me....

The mark on the obverse from 3k to about 5k could be from a vending/counting/wrapping machine, but still PMD.

PMD. Someone hammering another coin int this one. The rim made that damage.

Thank you Oldfordman. Seems like a good explanation, especially looking at shape of it.

Just simple post mint damage ( PMD). How? Damage is damage. It didn't leave the mint looking that way.

Or squeezed in a vise. The coin is bent, thus the first red flag that is not a mint error.

This one I think it is a result of the packing machine then counting. It is a 2013 and in that time the new no friction or press counting machines was in place.
