Hello, I have a question about ebay and ebay stores is it easier to do a specific search for what I'm looking for or "browse" the stores? How do I "browse" the stores? I'm having trouble finding what I want at a reasonable price. There are just so many items what should I do? Thanks, Rich

you can only browse individual stores. Maybe what you can do is browse only "buy it now" most of it are from stores and they are fixed prices or sometimes you can make an offer. BTW use more words to browse. example: 1963 Lincoln Cent, not US cents. Then you can arrange your search based on lower price first.

there are also tricks that you can use when you search Examples: if you want to eliminate listings with a certain word in them, say maybe "reproduction" or "copy" then you just type -copy or -reproduction in the search box to eliminate them. If you want to search for Lincoln Cents and you get everything with the words Lincoln or Cents in it you can use quotation marks around it like this: " Lincoln Cent" and it will only find those items listed with the words in that exact order.

Do as I do. I go to ebay, type in coins. Then I see millions and millions of entries. I start looking at some, get irritated that there are so many, close the window, go watch TV and realize how much money I just saved.

I have no problems with searching. Give us an example of one of your searches and where you type those or that word in ebay. I think you are searching all of ebay and not a particular catagory.

Hello, OK here is an example. I'm looking for circulated Sacagawea dollars from 2000 to 2004 from the mint in Philadelphia. So I go to ebay's homepage and type in "2002 circulated Sacagawea Philadelphia" -proof -BU -MS. I then change the category to Coins and Paper Money and hit search and get 0 results. I try without quotes and I still get no results. What am I doing wrong? Am I being to specific or picky? Thanks, Rich

There aren't very many listed, so there is no need to narrow it down in this example. Try this (this leaves out pcgs graded coins).
200* sac dollar -pcgs
But I don't think you'll find circulated ones for sale. The uncirculated ones are not much more than face.

I have a saved search on ebay for a proof 1949 Jefferson nickel ! Seriously, SNITCHARD, just type in 2000 dollar forget all the rest of those search words. Do the narrowing down after 500 things show up by looking to the left of the screen. You'll probably find something like I have below. Continue to narrow your search that way by clicking on the links. Then when you get to the end you can select professionally graded ones. Start your search out general. Categories Coins & Paper Money (794) Coins: US (680) Bullion (45) Coins: World (17) Publications & Supplies (18) Coins: Canada (12) More See all categories
