How would yall grade this? I did not realize it had that nasty scratch across the face. I've already read that NNC is not who you trust for grading. They graded this MS66.

With respect, I'd say MS-64 tops.

MS64. Sans the distracting cheek hit, it's a nice looking piece.

The scratch is in the primary grading area on the cheek and continues into the ear and hair. UNC Details Scratched. Maybe a net grade of 61/62.

Yeah, NNC is nothing but a crook. The guy knows how to grade. He even won a grading contest years ago so there is no excuse for his blatant over-graded self slabbing. I'm at MS details as well.

It is a VAM-27A if the n clash is still visible. As light as it is it probably didn't last long before wearing away and reverting back to 27.

the 87(P) are known for sharp and bold strikes so this one is typical for strike. the lighting and toning of the coin may be making the obverse right field appear flat so I'm not sure if the luster is full in that area or broken. the obverse peripheral toning is a little dark but even all around. the scratch across the cheek to the ear is pretty prominent in a key area. if this coin grades straight I cant see it higher than MS63 otherwise UNC details. the value of the coin would not support a crack out and resend to one of the top TPG's
