There are just too many results when I search for the 1982 small/large date pennies, so I really don't know which variety I want to look for in particular, and members on this forum in particular have seemed to be the most helpful, as well as not coming off as arrogant and judgmental, because trust me I'm no expert and barely qualify as a new collector. That being said, my next question is this... I want to order a coin book or books that are must haves or highly recommend books that I will help me learn about what I'm looking at and what to look for, as far as coin collecting and info and errors go. Do I need just a couple few books, or more , and what might those books be called? I value insight and opinions, and thank you for being polite and answering my questions in the past without coming off as if you're belittling me. I wish I had the knowledge menu of you do, but glad you're willing to use what you know to help and educate me. Everyone has been respectful thus far and it's appreciated.

If you don't have one, I would suggest the Red Book of U.S. Coins. A "must have" for everyone in the hobby.

Thank you all. And I'm unclear when I ask questions at times, I didn't even ask if the small date was a keeper, money maker, or just spend it, haha! I knew it was a small date, but I wanted to know if I just became the next future millionaire... kidding, but is the small date thing just something that got out of hand? Is it worth anything, or worth trying to sell? Thank you all and I don't know how to reply to each individual, sorry

Yes it is a Small Date but the valuable one is a copper 1982D cent. Yours is a ordinary 1982 worth one cent.
