I'm really stumped on this one. It is much thinner than other 67 halves, Weighs 10.96g, and has either severe wear or some type of defect on obverse. I'm a complete novice at this, so any info and advise would be greatly appreciated!

To thee CCF
It has been worn down either intentionally or unintentionally .
With the Weight Tolerance, it is only .08g underweight
which can be accounted for by the wear.

Maybe in a tumbler, for that uniform look?

I doubt if it was wear from circulation. No half dollar Kennedy probably touched more than 20 hands

I've never been to a casino. Are there 50 cent slot machines?

It's unlikely, but there is a chance it's a die adjustment strike.

Most likely a pocket piece. Doesn't look like a die adjustment strike. Note the polished look, from the coin constantly rubbing inside a pocket.
Suffering from bust half fever.
