Below: 1837 upon a branch tied with ribbon. Official Royal Mint issue an official red box of issue. Going rate is anywhere from $75 to $260+ on these. Your medal will be much towards the top end I believe. Hard to say on the "error" from the photos, but I'm inclined to vote on your side that is damage from being dropped.
