Hi everyone,

I'm excited to be here, I have always been a collector and have just started to turn my attention to coins, and I am hoping to become a regular poster here.

I am working with a gold supplier who has pushed me towards Queens Beast Completers - they look amazing but are they generally a good way to start and are they as an investment?

I am not a gold collector myself, so I can't really advise on the Queen's Beasts set, except to say that gold is generally a good investment provided you don't pay too much over the odds for it. I prefer to collect on the basis of attractiveness and/or history, and usually avoid gold as the value of the metal clouds the market.

Welcome to the community.

I have no idea what Queens Beast Completers are so I won't give any opinion.

Firstly welcome to the forum, secondly are you a collector or just someone who sees coins as an investment

Apologies I managed to hit return before completing

Kanga - the Queens Beasts completer is the final coin in the Queens Beasts set, which has all the queens beasts on one coin - an impressive item!

Saxon - a bit of both, I have always had some old coins handed down to me from parents and grandparents, and a passing interest (until recently) in collecting. I investigated gold as an investment and came across the coins I mentioned - which re-lighted my interest in collecting, and indeed I will dust off and review my current albeit small collection to date.

These are bullion coins so consequently will never be of much interest to numismatists. Just make sure you buy by weight and only pay a few percentage points over the bullion spot price for gold.
