Hi all,

what is your impression of the following 60 asses coin?

http://numismaclub.com/unt/176656-r...0_asses.html

I never collected gold coins and many counterfeit samples of this type exist, so I ask for your opinion.

Thanks a lot!

A beautiful and rare coin if genuine. This coin would have to be examined and certified by an expert such as David Sear before I would even consider buying it.

Almost impossible to identify very deceiving fakes made from good quality gold by examining on screen pictures only.

If an ancient coin has a very high numismatic value, and a fake is to made of it,
it may be well worth the extreme effort by dishonest individuals to manufacture a fake that is as authentic looking as possible.

If you have doubts, this coin should be authenticated by a numismatic professional, who is a specialist in the identification of fake ancient coins.
Take echizento's advice.
