Posting a pic of #2 silver quarter, and trying to get help identifying difference between proof, uncirculated coin or collectors?

The mirror finish & "S" m/m is indicative of a proof coin.

Not exactly. The mint did make proof coin at the Philly mint and those coins have no mint mark.http://www.numismedia.com/rarecoinp...=any&proof=b

In 1977 Proofs were only made at the San Francisco mint, not Philadelphia,

Philadelphia made the proof coins in 1964 and previous years.

In 1965 no proofs were made at all and no coins had a mint mark from any mint.
Proofs started being made at the San Francisco mint in 1968

Thank you! I was just getting familiar with this site when I posted the "S" coins that I had found! Going thru some of my old topics, and seeing this for the 1st time! I'm not quite familiar with the deep cameo, cameo on one side, brilliant, etc.

I'm still trying to figure error vs. variety? Lol! What are the best ways to keep my coins safe? I bought the double plastic with white padding, for multiple sized coins, and they are not easy to size!

I still have air and the coins will click the plastic on some of them. The other's are snug as a bug! Is there something better and easier?
